Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Georgia Agriculture in the Classroom Council, Inc., is to encourage more effective teaching about agriculture and its role in an interdependent society, and to assist Georgia’s educators in implementing the instruction of agriculture-related concepts in the classroom. Through balanced representation between education and agriculture, the Council serves as a network for Georgia educators and agribusiness leaders.

How is the mission achieved? Georgia Agriculture in the Classroom Council, Inc., has developed an interdisciplinary curriculum which provides teachers with the tools and training to excite students about the learning process using agriculture as the medium. Other tools for helping achieve the mission include sharing new resources with educators, evaluating new techniques and technologies for teaching and incorporating them into the Ag in the Classroom program, and connecting educators with community resources.
