BEWARE!

TELEPHONE SCAM (NEW 10-9-07)

This is to advise you of a recent potential telephone scam which we have become aware of that may be directed at our members. Here is how this scam works.
 
You receive a phone call from someone stating that they represent Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. They tell you that your policy coverage is about to expire. Then they instruct you to press “1” on your telephone, and follow the payment instructions.

These instructions may include asking you to provide your credit card number and/or bank account information.

THIS IS A SCAM! and MAY PUT YOU AT RISK for a possible significant financial loss through fraud!
 
If you receive such a call, please be advised that Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company does not  make these kinds of calls to our members.



LOTTERY SCAM LETTER AND CHECK
 
If you have received a letter stating that you have won a "lottery drawing" with a "Georgia Farm Bureau" check attached, please do not attempt to cash or deposit it. 

THIS IS A SCAM! 

Please be assured that Georgia Farm Insurance Companies are not affiliated with this in any way.  This scam is an example of "corporate identity theft."
