PUBLIC POLICY - COMMODITIES
The primary goal is to improve net farm income and assist Georgia farmers with issues that affect their livelihood. Equally important is the promotion of Georgia commodities and implementation of Georgia Farm Bureau policy.
GFB has twenty Commodity Advisory Committees that represent the diverse commodities in our state. The volunteers who serve on these Committees help advise our organization in the areas of their expertise.
Through our Futures At A Glance messaging program, you can have daily futures information sent directly to your cell phone. No matter where you go, you'll have access to the information you need.
As part of the state's overall agricultural community, we maintain a close relationshipwith other agricultural groups and provide assistance to each of the Georgia Agricultural Commodity Commissions.
Every year, Georgia Farm Bureau compiles a directory of farmers across the state producing high quality hay. The GFB Hay Directory allows producers the opportunity to list the hay they have available and advertise it statewide. Livestock producers in need of hay can use the directory to connect with others who can supply their needs.
From helping our farm members market grain to having direct input on legislative issues... we are dedicated to creating a better and broader agriculture industry in Georgia.
