Qualifications:
Job 5140 -- Commodities Specialist

Position Requirements:

Four year college degree required with Agricultural related experience preferred; farm background helpful. Good communication skills and general computer knowledge preferred.
 
Position Objectives:
This position serves in a resource capacity to Commodity Advisory Committees; keeps track of issues and the development and relays this information on to others and assists in finding solutions to issues facing agriculture.

Job 5142 -- Actuarial Analyst - Regulatory Compliance/Rate Development

Position Requirements:

Four year college degree required. Math or Actuarial Science major preferred; familiar and comfortable with personal computer applications-spreadsheets in particular. Strong math and/or statistical background with personal computer experience.
 
Position Objectives:
Assist in using mathematical techniques and models to test rate levels for profitability and provide statistical justification needed to revise rates.

Job 5185 -- Secretary to Manager - Commercial Underwriting

Position Requirements:

Working knowledge of personal computer applications including spreadsheets and word processing programs. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. General knowledge of insurance terminology preferred. Ability to produce large volumes of work and multi-task with minimum supervision. Must type 35 WPM; a typing test will be given.
 
Position Objectives:
To provide secretarial/clerical support to Commercial Lines Manager, Supervisors, Field Underwriters, Director/Assistant Director of Underwriting, other Department Managers as needed, and all other Commercial Lines personnel.


Job 5180 -- Claims Representative

Position Requirements:
1. Two or more years of college and three or more years of Property and/or Casualty claims adjusting experience, or seven or more years Property and/or Casualty claims adjusting experience.

2. This position is located in the Home Office (Macon, Ga.).

 
Position Objectives:
To evaluate and handle claims for or against members of the Georgia Farm Bureau and to handle each claim professionally, fairly and promptly within the bounds of the insurance contract and/or applicable law.

Job 5197 -- Web & Publications Specialist

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree In Agricultural Communications, Communications or Journalism, with emphasis in print/writing preferred. Preferred candidate will have news reporting experience ( 1-2 years).
Preferably will have previous experience with website creation software – HTML, CSS. Must be willing to train in website development.
Knowledge of agriculture a plus. Valid Georgia driver’s license required. Overnight and out of state travel required.
 
Position Objectives:
This position is responsible for assisting with the editorial content and development of Farm Bureau’s publications and websites. This consists of writing/editing/photography assignments and web development and content creation assignments.

Job 5203 -- Physical Damage Appraiser

Position Requirements:
Must have a valid Georgia Drivers License.  Two years experience in auto estimating.  Body shop background and computer experience helpful. High School education required.
Territory includes: Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Monroe, Jones, Upson, Crawford, Bibb, Twiggs, Houston, Peach, Taylor, Muscogee, Schley, Macon, Sumter, Dooly and Crisp Counties.

Position Objectives:
To inspect damaged vehicles and prepare estimates as to the amount necessary to perform necessary repairs.  Assist adjusters in determining ACV of total loss vehicles.

Job 5198 -- Radio/TV Specialist

Position Requirements:

Degree in Communications, Agricultural Communications or Radio/Television preferred.
At least 2 years broadcast experience in production and/or news gathering is a minimum. Must be capable of shooting with broadcast-quality cameras and editing with nonlinear editing equipment. This is an on-air reporter position in a national (RFD-TV Network) television program.
Knowledge of agriculture a plus.
Valid Georgia Driver’s License is required. Extensive travel in Georgia is required. Occasional out-of-state travel required.

 Position Objectives:
This position is responsible for assisting with the creation, production and development of Georgia Farm Radio Network, Georgia Farm Monitor Television and web video content.


Job 5200 -- Claims Representative Trainee

Position Requirements:
Minimum of four year college degree, or 2 years of Property and/or Casualty insurance experience and one of the following designations: AIC, AU, AIS, API, ARM OR CPCU.  Must be flexible to travel, and relocate within the State of Georgia, attend training classes and seminars, and train with personnel as designated by Claims Management. The initial training period is two years, however, it may be extended or be reduced based upon performance or progress.

Position Objectives:
To be trained as a Claims Representative and to evaluate and handle claims for and against members of the Georgia Farm Bureau and to do so professionally, fairly and promptly within the bounds of the Insurance Contract and/or applicable law.
