Foxfire celebrates 40 years of preserving Appalachian heritage -- Since 1966, students and residents of Rabun County have been working through the Foxfire program to preserve the Appalachian culture of their ancestors.

An autographing party for the 40th Anniversary Foxfire book will be held in conjunction with the 12th Annual Foxfire Fall Heritage Festival on Sept. 30 in Dillard.
