Bishop selected as chairman of Ag Appropriations Subcommitee

On Jan. 16, Rep. Sanford Bishop Jr. (D-Georgia 2nd District) was nominated by the House Appropriations Committee to become Chairman of the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee for the 116th Congress. Before the nomination is finalized, it must be formally approved by the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee as well as the House Democratic Caucus.
