Picture Agriculture In Georgia - Photo Contest
We asked for your best photos showing the image and spirit of agriculture, and Farm Bureau, in Georgia. You responded with more than 300 fantastic pictures. Those were judged and critiqued, and the 12 most outstanding photos were chosen.
From that group, Grand Prizes were awarded for the best photos in the General Membership and Young Farmers categories. Ten Honorable Mention winners were also selected from these entries.
A Grand Prize winner, along with second and third place winners, were selected from entries submitted by GFB staff and family members.
The Grand Prize Winners
Matthew London of White County won the Grand Prize in the Young Farmer Category, as well as the overall Grand Prize, for this photo, titled "Heifers at the Mound." As the overall winner of this year's photo contest, Matthew's photo will be featured on the cover of the 2012 GFB Young Farmer Calendar.
Steve Willis Jones of Walker County was awarded the Grand Prize in the General Membership Category, for his photo, titled "Cream Of The Crop". This photo will be featured in the 2012 Calendar.
Carlene Hart of Washington County received the Grand Prize in the GFB Staff and Family Category for this photo, titled "From Generation to Generation".
