4 cups sliced Georgia cooking apples

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup Georgia pecans

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup milk

1/3 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup Georgia pecans


Preheat oven to 325º.


Grease a 2-quart baking dish.


Arrange apples in bottom of dish, and sprinkle with lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup pecans.

In a large bowl combine flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. 


In a separate bowl combine egg, milk and butter stir into flour mixture. 


Pour mixture evenly over apple pecan mixture in baking dish.


Top with remaining 1/2 cup pecans.


Bake 45 - 55 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
