Georgia’s climate offers farmers around the state the opportunity to grow just about any crop imaginable, and many growers sell those products directly to consumers through their own retail markets.

Through our Certified Farm Market program, Georgia Farm Bureau has created a network of nearly 100 markets across the state to provide consumers the freshest, most delicious locally grown products available. With so many markets in the program, there’s sure to be one close to you, no matter where you might be in Georgia.

Many markets specialize in fresh vegetables, like sweet corn, beans and peas, turnips and collard greens, Vidalia Onions, squash, peppers and even potatoes. Some markets feature watermelons, cantaloupes and pumpkins.

There are opportunities at some markets for family fun. Many offer agritourism activities, like corn mazes, pumpkin patches, games and activities for kids, fresh baked breads and pastries, jams and jellies, and even fresh homemade ice creams.
