GFB photo contest highlights farm life

Congratulations to Chase Berry of Newton County for winning the Georgia Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers 16th Annual Picture Agriculture in Georgia Photo Contest! 

Berry’s photo won him $150, and it will be featured on the cover of the 2026 GFB YF&R calendar available at most county Farm Bureau offices in December. 

The calendar will also feature the 11 honorable mention winners, who each received a $75 prize. 

Honorable mention winners are: Julie Hardy, Thomas Co.; Ariel Holland, Johnson Co.; Caitlyn Jackson, Randolph Co.; Kadie Matthews, Seminole Co.; Megan Odom, Early Co.; Bristol Peterson, Wilcox Co; Haley Scruggs, Bibb Co.; Whitney Sheppard, Screven Co; Savannah Tanner, Emanuel Co.; Liam Tewksbury, Forsyth Co.; & Lauren Turner, Decatur Co.

GFB thanks the 79 contestants who submitted 188 photos. Voting to choose the winner and honorable mentions was held in conjunction with the GFB YF&R Summer Leadership Conference. 

Look for information about the 2026 contest to be announced next spring.
