Big Buck Contest

CONTEST RULES

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the contest, you must register prior to the registatration deadline and be over the age of 18 to enter. You must also be a member of one of the following county Farm Bureaus: Walton County Farm Bureau, Newton Couny Farm Bureau, Oconee County Farm Bureau, Barrow County Farm Bureau, Morgan County Farm Bureau. 

DATES

The contest officially starts on Saturday September 14th, 2024, when bow season begins statewide. The contest ends on the last legal day to deer hunt in any given county in Georgia, per the 2024-2025 Georgia DNR Hunting & Fishing Regulations Guide. New members wishing to register must do so prior to harvesting a deer they want to enter in the contest, or by October 18th at 5:00 PM.

REGISTRATION

You must be registered in order to win. Contact your local Farm Bureau office to register.

PRIZES

The first place winner will receive a Browning A-Bolt III Composite Stalker .308WIN & Sig Sauer Scope. The second place winner will receive a $200 gift card to Bass Pro Shops.

REQUIREMENTS

To be entered in the contest, the buck has to be taken legally in Georgia. Hunters must abide by all state hunting regulations and laws. The DNR confirmation number for the tag will be required to enter a buck, as will photos of the deer. The deer cannot be harvested on a guided/paid hunt. The deer must be submitted by the end of the season to win. Winner must be able to legally possess a firearm, and the winner must pick it up from the FFL dealer of our choice.

JUDGING

Entries will be judged and winner(s) will be selected based on the highest scoring rack. A certified score will be required to win.
